Hi, nice to meet you! My name's Dot and I've been running Dot Roberts Translation since January 2019. I'm an audiovisual translator specialising in subtitle creation for movies and TV shows.

I've worked on comedies, dramas, documentaries, horrors, and even kids' shows. Romcoms are my favourite but I honestly love them all. Send me your videos and I'll make them accessible to an English-speaking audience and/or the deaf and hard of hearing.

I also host a podcast called Meet the Translator in which I chat with a different translator each episode about a topic relating to translation. You can listen to that here.

WHY TRUST ME?

I've got plenty of experience in my field and already work with some of the biggest names in media. They've said great things about me too! I'm an associate member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting, which means I've been officially recognised as a professional, and I also have a Master's in Translation Studies from the University of Manchester, as well as a Bachelor's in German with Dutch from the University of Nottingham.
